The following material consists of a select group of links to government material from New York City and State, the United States and international government web sites with educational content suitable for children intended for use by librarians, teachers and parents.

The General Services Administration's FirstGov for Kids and the Goverment Printing Office's Ben's Guide also offer subject access to online government material for children. They are broader in scope and include sites aimed at adults but of potential interest to children along with selected sites from educational and nonprofit organizations. As of this writing, neither Ben's Guide nor FirstGov offers grade level access.
